2023/24 Funding Opportunities
CRE HiPP is committed to creating a new, unique and transdisciplinary skilled research workforce in preconception and pregnancy lifestyle health. Here we post opportunities for funding that can be sourced by early and mid-career researchers (EMCRs), and also by clinicians.

PhD Research Support Grant Scheme 2023
Research support is available for PhD students with projects relating to maternal lifestyle health during preconception and pregnancy.
Eight grants of $3,000AUD each are available for competitive and eligible applicants. Funding can be used to support activities such as:
- Placement or secondment programs to visit and work in areas and other groups outside of the students' usual PhD settings.
- Support for meeting or workshops to foster collaborations with national and/or international colleagues.
- Support for conferences or professional development related to maternal lifestyle health during preconception and pregnancy.

EMCR Small Grant Scheme 2023
CRE HiPP offers a small grant scheme for Early and Mid-Career Researchers (EMCRs).
Project support is available for five grants up to a maximum of $10,000AUD each. The scheme is specifically designed for EMCRs working in the CRE HIPP field and across the priority areas of preconception or pregnancy lifestyle health.

Practising Health Professional Capacity Building SEED Grants 2023
This Program will provide two seeding grants of $10,000AUD each to support research and engagement, translation engagement and capacity building among clinically active health professionals, providing research secondments.
This will allow clinically active researchers to have protected time and obtain seed funding for a 12-month research project.
